Welcome!! Much of the work that you see on this web page is from my past couple of years and Laguna College of Art and Design. It's a classical art school with emphasis on the figure. I'm a Fine Art major there and I mostly work in charcoal and oil. I love the drama and depth of charcoal as a medium, but I also love the richness and emotion of the oils. An 18 x 24 rendition of a Adolphe-William Bouguerou oil painting. It's cupid, but it appears that it was in a larger painting as well. Even though it was originally done in oil, I decided to render mine in pastel. I really have grown to love pastel this semester. It's a refreshing and lovely medium for me.

Here's a 10 x12 Graphite rendition of Christ from the German artist Albrecht Durer. This was done in a classical drawing method that my figure drawing three class has been using. I loved doing this piece, especially because of the subject matter.

I present to you my bathroom on a good day. Actually, I set this one up and drew it with charcoal on 18 x 24 paper. Sharon Allicotti was an excellent teacher for this class which was in the first semester of my freshman year. I really loved working on this perticular piece because of the unconventional set up of these bathroom objects and the contrast between the different objects.

This piece was done in the fall of 2004 and is an 18 x 24 oil. It's actually a rendition of a painting by one of my favorite artists, John Singer Sargent. I imposed my face in this picture though, and held the same expression as the first model. I really enjoyed working on this piece and learned so much from Sargent about what strokes and technique I want on my work. I also got to play dress up and be British. Cheers!
